EITV Playout Professional is a high availability equipment target for operation in DTV broadcast generators totally compatible with the Brazilian DTV standard SBTVD or ISDB-TB.

The equipment offers the best cost-benefit relation since it integrates six different functions which normally are done by specific equipments. EITV Playout Professional performs the following functions:

SI Server

  • SI multiplexing in conformity with the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 15603;
  • Generation of information for tables: PAT, PMT, NIT, EIT, SDT, TDT, TOT, BIT, SDTT and AIT;
  • Configuration of timezone for automatic time setting based on UTC;
  • Configuration of the tables that will be generated on the transport stream;
  • Configuration of virtual channel number;
  • Configuration of service id;
  • Configuration of table repetition rate in miliseconds; 

EPG Server

  • EPG multiplexing in conformity with the Brazilian standard ABNT NBR 15603;
  • Generation of H-EIT, M-EIT and L-EIT;
  • Generation of EIT p/f and EIT scheduling for electronic programming guide;
  • Date, time, duration, title, subtitle and program description information;
  • EIT Descriptors (short event, parental rating, audio component, digital copy control);
  • EIT automatic table update based on XML file and FTP protocol;
  • External clock synchronism by NTP; 

Closed Caption Server 

  • In conformity with ABTN NBR 15606-1 and ARIB STD-B24 VOL1 PART 3 standards;
  • Subtitles and closed caption real time generation;
  • Support to roll-up and pop-up closed captions;
  • Serial signal input (EIA-608) from the RS-232 interface;
  • PID configuration of the closed caption (CC) output stream;
  • Configuration of CC language;
  • Support to generation of multiple simultaneous CC streams (HD, SD, 1SEG, multi-language);

  • OAD: over the air receiver software update;

  • Support to two OAD models: TS generated by manufacturer or by broadcaster;
  • Real time object/data carousel insertion on the transport stream;

  • Configuration of auto start option;
  • Data Descriptors (association tag, component tag, carousel id, data broadcast id);
  • AIT Descriptors (application signalling, transport protocol, application descriptor, control code);
  • GINGA Descriptors (optional flags, document resolution, content ID, default version, language);
  • Configuration of the bitrate for application transmission;
  • Configuration of PIDs for AIT and data stream;
  • Generation of DSM-CC Stream Events;
  • Application automatic update based on XML file and FTP protocol;

Multiplexer

  • A/V, SI, EPG, closed caption and object carousel automatic multiplexing;
  • PIDs filtering, regeneration of TS or BTS tables and data in real time;

Re-multiplexer

  • TS re-multiplexing in conformity with ABNT NBR 15601 Brazilian standard;
  • Generation of the transport stream organized in hierarquical layers (layers A, B, C);
  • IIP (ISDB-T Information Packet) packet generation;
  • Generation of TMCC (Transmission and Multiplexing Configuration Control) information;
  • Transmission mode and guard interval configuration;
  • Segment, modulation, code rate and time interleaving of the layers configuration;
  • 1-SEG content transmission for partial reception;

  • Automatic packet ordering to build the OFDM frame;
